Haven Deluxe was born from a lifelong passion for entrepreneurship, design, hospitality, and the desire to create a lasting legacy.

Growing up, I always knew I wanted to own my own business. Creativity was a huge part of who I was. Whether it was creating clothing from recycled materials as a child, developing new ideas, or exploring different forms of design, I was always drawn to building things from the ground up. That passion eventually led me to pursue a degree in fashion, where I went on and launched my own clothing brand. Through fashion, I discovered something that continues to shape my business today: great design has the power to influence how people feel.

Entrepreneurship was also deeply rooted in my family. My great-grandfather owned a furniture store, and my uncle continues that legacy today. I spent countless hours walking through those stores, admiring furniture, imagining layouts, and envisioning how thoughtfully designed spaces could transform the way people live. My mother further fueled my appreciation for beautiful interiors and elevated spaces. Watching home renovation shows, studying furniture design, and exploring different styles became more than hobbies—they became genuine passions.

While I always knew entrepreneurship was my ultimate destination, I made a deliberate decision to first build the skills necessary to become an effective business owner. Over the years, I developed my career in corporate America, learning leadership, sales, operations, customer service, relationship management, negotiation, and strategic business planning. Every role taught me something valuable. Every promotion added another tool to my toolbox. Looking back, I wasn’t just building a career. I was preparing to build a company.

Then my greatest motivation arrived. My son. Becoming a father changed the way I viewed success. Success was no longer just about personal achievement. It became about legacy. I wanted my son to see firsthand that no dream is too big. I wanted him to understand that faith, hard work, perseverance, and discipline can create opportunities where none seem to exist. Most importantly, I wanted him to know that he can become anything his heart desires if he is willing to trust God and relentlessly pursue his purpose.

That desire became one of the driving forces behind Haven Deluxe. The name itself reflects the company’s mission. “Haven” represents a safe place, a refuge, and a sanctuary where people feel comfortable, protected, and at peace. “Deluxe” represents elevated quality, thoughtful design, luxury, and exceptional experiences. Together, Haven Deluxe represents our commitment to creating spaces that are both welcoming and extraordinary.

I chose hospitality because it perfectly combines two things I genuinely love: people and creativity. My early career in retail taught me the value of customer experience and human connection. At the same time, my passion for fashion, art, furniture, and interior design gave me an appreciation for beautiful spaces. Hospitality became the bridge between those two worlds.

To me, accommodations should be more than a place to stay. They should be experiences. Every detail matters—from the design of the space to the quality of communication before, during, and after a guest’s stay. One of my biggest frustrations as a traveler has always been poor communication and inconsistent service. That’s why clear communication, professionalism, and responsiveness are at the core of the Haven Deluxe experience.

For years, I balanced my corporate career while building Haven Deluxe on the side. Like many entrepreneurs, I kept telling myself I would eventually dedicate more time to the business. Eventually. But eventually has a way of becoming years. Then life forced a decision. After years of professional success, I was impacted by a corporate layoff. What many people would consider a setback became one of the greatest blessings of my professional life. The layoff wasn’t the beginning of Haven Deluxe. The vision already existed. The business already existed. But it became the catalyst that accelerated everything. It was confirmation that true freedom comes from building something you own. It forced me to stop treating Haven Deluxe like a side project and start treating it like the future I had always envisioned. Had that moment never happened, I may have continued building Haven Deluxe only in my spare time. Instead, I was given the opportunity to fully commit to the dream I had carried for years. 

Today, Haven Deluxe is focused on creating exceptional hospitality experiences through premium accommodations and thoughtfully designed spaces. Tomorrow, the vision is much larger. I envision Haven Deluxe becoming a nationally and internationally recognized hospitality, design, and lifestyle brand. A company operating more than 100 properties across the United States and around the world. A design firm serving clients nationally. A furniture collection inspired by the same principles of comfort, functionality, and elevated living that define our guest experiences. A team of more than 100 talented professionals united by a commitment to excellence.

Most importantly, I envision building a company that creates opportunities for others, impacts communities, and inspires people to pursue their own dreams. My goal is not simply to build a successful business. My goal is to build a legacy. A legacy rooted in faith, service, creativity, excellence, and purpose. A legacy my son can be proud of.
